The Lightweight Obermayer is the lightest, top-of-the-line wheel of Lightweight's well known multi-spoke wheels. Extra light DT-Swiss hubs are used in both front and rear hubs. The decisive role in producing Meilenstein Obermayer is our one of kind of extra light sandwich structure in the rims. Lightweight Obermayer technology comes directly from the famous Lightweight L´Alpe d´Huez model that was developed on behalf of one of the leading pro tour teams for special use in the uphill time trial race during the Tour de France 2004. Many of the innovations that have been developed out of this team work have made their way into the current Obermayer model. The result is an extremely lightweight competition wheel with nearly unbeatable stiffness. The stiffness of the Obermayer wheels is the same as you can find at their Standard wheels and takes a leading position among all the lightweight wheelsets in the world.
