The Swiss company focused on designing these as disc brake only wheels, which means that they could take a whole new look at the rim shape without having to accommodate a brake track. They developed these rims in cooperation with SWISS SIDE, a leading expert in aerodynamic optimization, to come up with their AERO+ rim profile that minimizes both aero drag and steering moment to improve its aerodynamic and controlling in even strong cross wind.

Talking about those DT Swiss hubs, what they have used for the ARC 1100 DICUT DB offer a low friction, high durability ratio that really get our hearts a-fluttering. They use the 180 DICUT hub which includes the ultra-low friction SINC ceramic bearings. The reduced rolling resistance and extended durability offer the decisive advantage in both performance and maintenance. DT Swiss has taken equal care over the choice of spokes for these wheels using a mix of DT Aerolite II aero spokes on the front wheel and the non-drivetrain side of the rear, while the rear’s drivetrain side uses the slightly more robust DT Aero Comp II. They are straight pull spokes with a difference since they employ a T-head at the hub end that secures them in the proper aero orientation and helps reduce need for truing down the line.

The DT Swiss ARC 1100 DICUT DB are hooked rim and tubeless ready. The 20mm internal rim width has been optimized for 25-28mm tires. They come in three different rim depths (50mm, 62mm, and 80mm) and are available in 700c and 650b rim diameters.
