2021 Cipollini MCM Disc
By adding disc brakes to the MCM road bike platform, Cipollini’s designers are trying to offer you the best possible performance in terms of speed, security and durability. The Cipollini MCM Disc will be the perfect bike for your racing and training pleasure.
The great thing about the MCM Disc is that, like it’s rim brake relative, it is available in seven stock sizes as well as in a made-to-measure option that ranges from 44 to 63 cm sizes. Starting out with seven stock sizes is pretty good already for a carbon bike, but then including the option of customizing the size is particularly impressive, especially if you are the type of rider who falls at either end of the size spectrum. For very tall or little people, it can be tough to find an optimum size. With the huge K1 T800 carbon tubes and the conical, tapered headtube, the MCM is a beast fit best for those riders who like to ride hard and feel each acceleration. Powerful, out of the saddle attacks will just feel so right on this rig.
Looking at the tube sizes, it’ll be no surprise this is a bike tailor-made for powerful sprinters. With the Press Fit 41 x 86.5mm bottom bracket allowing for the beefy connecting tubes, it looks like it can accelerate all alone. And the seatpost-seat tube interaction has also been cleverly designed with a ghost clamp on a height adjustable rail to ensure that you can dial in your fit, and not worry about squeaking or worse, slipping seatposts. It is designed to accommodate mechanical and electronic groupsets and internally routed cables. The flat mount disc brakes will then give you that extra peace of mind to know that once you do wind up this baby to some serious speeds, you will always be in control whether the road conditions are perfect, or even if the rain has complicated the situation.
The modular carbon layup of the Cipollini MCM Disc not only allows for a customization of the geometry, but it ensures that each rider will have the perfect stiffness to weight ratio to keep the ride light and fun to use on climbs, but also stiff enough to power through a criterium course. If you have wondered how it would feel to have a bike made specifically for your needs, then you need not wonder any longer. With the MCM Disc you can enjoy the high performance of a carbon bike with the customization usually reserved for metal frame builds.
