Enve G23 - Lightweight and Durable

Lightweight and bombproof seldom go together in terms of bike parts, especially wheels. But in the case of the Enve G23 gravel and cross specific wheels, you can really get the most out of any tough trail you can take a dropbar bike riding.

Though folks are talking about gravel riding as one category, anyone who has ventured off the beaten track already knows that there are all sorts of different types of gravel riding that you can do. The sheer amount of choice and versatility is after all one of the big draws of the whole deal. Road riders who have become stuck in their well-worn pavement ruts can all of a sudden throw some spice into their rides by making the right turn you always used to breeze past and check out that woodsy trail. Or you can take two weeks off and get adventurous with a bikepacking trip that will take you across fields and streams. Or you can seek out those double track and even XC singletracks to test your skill and nerve.

In any one of these situations the Enve G23 will be a great option because they are light enough to feel quite at home on a more road oriented gravel bike but heavy duty enough to take the punishment of a Dirty Kanza or Crusher in the Tushar. Their range is basically as endless as the open road ahead of you. As a tubeless carbon clincher wheelset, the G23 have an internal rim width of 23mm that will allow you to put anything from 35mm gravel slicks to beefier nobbier trail tires, up to 45mm wide. These are wheels begging to head out on adventures because they borrow the best technology from the road side of Enve’s production and the mountain bike side as well to help fill that gap created by this desire to have versatile road bikes with dirt capabilities.

Wide Hookless Bead Technology in the Enve G23 wheelset

To accommodate those folks who love running their tire pressure as low as possible, Enve has taken a page from their mountain bike designs and incorporated their Wide Hookless Bead anti-flat technology which means the wider leading edge of the hookless bead offers a broader surface to creates a more forgiving platform. So when you are running pretty low pressure in your tires and you hit a bump that would normally result in a pinched flat, the tire can instead bottom out without resulting in a “snake-bite” style flat.

With the Enve G23 gravel and cross specific wheels, you can find your niche when riding and stick to the roads and trails that fill you with the most pleasure and enthusiasm.
