2011 Pinarello KOBH Carbon 60.1
The new Pinarello KOBH 60.1 frame gives all day comfort in pro level frameset. The KOBH 60.1 was created in collaboration with the Sky Pro Cycling team to be ridden in the Northern Classics. The KOBH 60.1 was designed to use the extraordinary technologies introduced with the DOGMA 60.1 but built to handle more abuse and be more comfortable. The frame has asymmetric sections similar to the DOGMA 60.1 to support the different stresses that occur during the pedal strokes, cornering, sprinting and climbing.
The most important differences between KOBH 60.1 and DOGMA 60.1 frame include the seat angle with an inclination of approximately one degree less, the reduced steering angle that varies from 0.5 degrees of difference on the smaller frames to 1.5 degrees on the larger frames. The seat stay is slimmer and the addition of a special curvature was used for the stays for more comfort. The spaces for the wheel passage have been broadened in order to mount larger tire diameters to support rough and rugged terrains.
The change in geometries was done with the utmost care to still give the Pinarello ride feel but at the same time support the needs of the Pro Team Sky riders in Paris-Roubaix and rough cobblestone roads. The longer wheelbase means less vertical stiffness and greater absorption capacity on bumpy stretches, though without affecting the characteristics of lateral stiffness of the bike essential for responding to sprints and shifting on curves, especially on the paved stretches.
