2015 Pinarello Dogma F8
2015 Pinarello Dogma F8 is the 8th generation Dogma and as Pinarello affectionately says, is the eighth wonder of the world.
Pinarello's goal has always been to create the best riding bikes in the world. Pinarello does this through searching out the best technologies and work tirelessly to incorporate it with their world class geometry and bike building know-how. The Dogma F8 had taken huge steps in improving aerodynamics, balancing the frame design, lowering the overall weight, improving lateral rigidity and the end result is the Dogma F8.
The Pinarello F8 is:
12% + Rigid
16% + Balanced
120 gr + Lighter
47% + Improved Aerodynamics
Yes you read that right , 47% improved aerodynamics. Pinarello partnered with English automotive giant Jaguar to minimize the aerodynamic footprint by an astounding 47% over the Dogma 65.1. This was done by looking at every aspect of the frame and fork and how all parts interact together. No detail was left unturned in Pinarello's quest to not just come out with an aero bike but to make the worlds best aero bike.
The new ONDA F8 fork also got a makeover that has 54% reduction in aerodynamic drag. It looks sleek and streamlined but as always has the Pinarello style and or course outstanding stability in all riding conditions.
Pinarello's partner TORAY has given Pinarello exclusive rights to use their new T1100 1K Dream Carbon with Nanoalloy Technology. This carbon has until now only been used in the super planes in the aviation industry. The Dogma F8 is the first and only bike in the world built with T1100 1K carbon and it translates into a super bike on the road.
Pinarello continues with their 4 generation asymmetric design. Their philosophy is simple, get the most power to the road and at the same time give the best handling characteristics. By making the drivetrain asymmetric Pinarello effectively counter balances the pedaling forces to provide the most power to the road. The Dogma F8 is 16% more balanced then the Dogma 65.1 and 33% more balanced than a non asymmetric frame. This all becalmed crystal clear when you first push the pedals down, you get a shocking jump forward and its then you know you are in for a very special ride.
The new FlatBack tube shapes give both better aerodynamics but also increase stiffness and drop weight. There is a 12% lateral stiffness gain and at the same time 120 gram drop in weight. Who doesn't want a bike that is lighter and more responsive?
The Pinarello Dogma F8 continues with the Think 2 design that is all internal cable routing. So you can run both mechanical and electric groupo in one frame. The Dogma F8 also will continue with the 1.5-inch bottom headset bearing and Italian bottom bracket.
