2017 Pinarello Dogma F8 Disk
The main characteristics of Dogma F8 remain unchanged: maintained are the same geometries and the material, the rigidity and aerodynamics. The braking system has been upgraded to hydraulic disk brakes, in order to increase the braking power. UCI will permit the use of frames with disc brakes for the entire 2016 season.
The Dogma F8 is Pinarello’s eighth generation of Dogma produced. Created in a collaboration with Team Sky and Jaguar, the Dogma F8 has made huge strides forward improving aerodynamics, balancing the frame design with asymmetry, bring down overall frame weight, improving lateral rigidity and vertical compliance. The aerodynamic footprint of the F8 has been streamlined by an astonishing 47% over the Dogma 65.1.
With the asymmetric frame design Pinarello effectively counter balances the pedaling forces of the drivetrain to deliver every ounce of power you put into the pedals to the road. The Dogma F8 is 16% more balanced than its predecessor, the Dogma 65.1, and 33% more balanced than a non-asymmetric frame. All it takes is one ride and you know you are riding an extraordinary bike.
Pinarello's carbon partner TORAY granted Pinarello sole rights to use their new T1100 1K Dream Carbon plus Nanoalloy Technology. Until now, the carbon has only been available for top end aviation projects. The Dogma F8 is the only bike built with T1100 1K carbon in the world. This combination of design and exclusive carbon produced the premier super bike on the road. A Dogma 65.1 with Torayca 65HM1K weighs 940g in size 54, while the same frame built with T11001K fiber weighs 860g.
Pinarello introduced the FlatBack tube shapes which provide significantly better aerodynamics, aid in lateral stiffness, and provide reductions in weight. This results in a 12% lateral stiffness gain while dropping the frame weight by 120 grams. This results in a more aerodynamic, lighter and more responsive frame.
The Pinarello F8 is:
12% + Rigid
16% + Balanced
120 gr + Lighter
47% + Improved Aerodynamics
Pinarello Think 2 design allows you to run either mechanical or electric internal cable routing simply by switching out the cable stops going into the frame. Each frame comes with both options.
