One Bike 2 Goals
One: Build the lightest and stiffest high performance titanium road bike available to a racer today. The Vamoots RSL is THE bike for serious racers looking for maximum performance. The RSL is stiffer than the Vamoots CR, weighs 15% less and is a lifetime bike, backed by a lifetime warranty.
An internally mandrel double butted and tapered Reynolds 3/2.5 tubing. Objective: To develop a tube set that maintains a very high outside diameter-to wall ratio to provide greater stiffness at the bottom bracket while reducing weight and maintaining comfort. Result/benefit: Top tube; 20% lighter, seat tube; 15% lighter and 9% larger, Down tube; 2% lighter and 7% larger, chain stays; 9% lighter and 22% larger. The decreased weight and increased tubing sizes provide maximum stiffness. This translates to greater power transfer from rider to bike.
6/4 titanium micro diameter seat stays Objective: Reduced weight and increased strength. Result/Benefit: 32% lighter and 20% smaller. Results in a laterally stiff rear triangle and lighter overall frame weight. C Press Fit 30 oversized bottom bracket Objective: Maximize stiffness in the bottom bracket cluster where power from cranks is directly transferred from rider to the rear wheel. Result/benefit: The oversized bottom bracket delivers 38% more stiffness while reducing weight by 5%. The result is a more immediate and efficient.
D CNC Machined 6/4 Moots Titanium Modified Breezer-Style Dropout Objective: Increased strength and decreased weight. Result/Benefit: 32% lighter than Moots standard drop out. Results in a laterally stiff rear triangle and lighter overall frame weight. E CNC MACH INED Head Tube collars and larger MACH INED VENT HOLES Objective: Reduce weight in head tube cluster. Result/Benefit: 21% lighter with less extension for more aggressive riding position while maintaining strength and stiffness.
