The 2012 Saetta replaces what was the 2011 Saetta Sprint; providing the same explosive frame response and light weight. While the Saetta provides incredible performance, the focus of its development was on comfort and reliability. During its design, each joint was studied and recreated to eliminate specific stress at the joint transition; significantly increasing the reliability and fatigue resistance of the frame.
In addition, the top tube has been reduced as much as possible, and created as one piece with the seat stays to allow for far greater vertical compliance than if the two pieces were created seperately and joined later. Cinelli then take the material and weight they have saved with the top tube and placed in the bottom bracket and seat stays to provide the frame stiffness that the Saetta Sprint was known for.
The 2012 Saetta utilizes the same Columbus Solid fork as the Pro Estrada, providing exceptional handling manners and accuracy.
