The 2:1 DHS Mono is an aggressive design that will change the way you think about downhill bikes. It's equipped with the 2:1 Curnutt XTD suspension, built completely by hand and features Foes' signature monocoque construction. The 2:1 DHS, endowed with 10" of XTD travel, will provide stability, agility and control you never expected from a downhill bike. Single pivot is one of the simplest types of rear suspension. It simply consists of a pivot around the bottom bracket area and a solid chainstay to the rear axle. The rear axle will always rotate in a circle around the pivot point. The main benefit of this design is its simplicity. There are few moving parts, relatively easy to design and has good small bump compliance. In a market full of complex suspension designs, the single pivot offers a refreshingly simplistic and effective design. The rear triangle on single pivot bikes tends to be stiffer while offering exquisite small bump compliance. While other suspension designs claim to be more efficient, they typically lack the small bump compliance that single pivot offers.
