Pinarello bikes - a brand with a great history

There aren’t too many bike brands these days that have the level of name recognition and desirability that Pinarello enjoys. Founded in 1952 by Giovanni Pinarello with the money he was paid by his team to give up his spot on the squad for the Giro d’Italia where he had finished dead last – wearing the Maglia Nera or black jersey for the distinction – the year before. Pinarello has had a slow build up to its current level of great bikes and Grand Tour dominance. Since winning its first Tour de France back in 1988 with Pedro Delgado, Pinarello has had quite a streak of success with riders like Indurain, Riis, Ullrich, Froome, Thomas and Bernal taking the top honors in Paris. But what does all that mean for you? Perhaps nothing. Perhaps the apparent ubiquity of the brand now puts you off a little. Well, don’t let it. None of these things should influence you unduly. You shouldn’t buy the top of the line racing bike if what you really want is something more oriented towards long distance, multi surface rides. And you shouldn’t think that because you just want to ride by yourself for a handful of hours a week that you can’t hop on a Pinarello, even if it was designed with Grand Tour success in mind. Pinarello is a company that is proud to have bicycle racing at the heart of its operations. That’s evident by the absolute and utter care they take when designing a bike. But the Pinarello family is a family of cyclists who love to ride their bikes as much as you do. That’s one reason why they take so much care in developing all sorts of road bikes, gravel bikes and now mountain bikes that can be ridden and enjoyed by everyone from Grand Tour winners to weekend warriors.

The choice of Pinarello bikes for sale can always be lauded for their level of craftsmanship and care used in the design and the building.
