Ibis Bikes: Bicycles for all types of shredders

Hailing from Santa Cruz, California, Ibis Bikes clearly have a love for riding in the hills, and every bike is designed to appeal to anyone who shares their passion. When you are trying to decide what bike is right for you, Ibis wants you to ask yourself what style of riding you prefer and what really gets your juices flowing. Do you like bike parks, flowy trails or technical single track? They’ll have the bike for you. Or maybe you are big into hammering crazy downhill trails and dream of shredding it at Whistlers. Well, they have the bike for that as well. Are you more interested in gravel and multi-surface adventures? Ibis gravel bikes will answer all your exploration needs. Check also:

Why buy an Ibis bike?

What Ibis Bikes will always offer is a total devotion to making sure there is a bike that will be durable, maneuverable, and as lightweight as possible so that every ride will be a blast. They make sure to include bike frame sizes that will accommodate riders of all sizes, including the very tall and the very little. And that’s great because not everyone can be 5’11”. And with 29er as well as 27.5 inch wheel options, full suspension, hardtails, and dropbar gravel options, there will hardly be a ride in the world that an Ibis couldn’t tackle. They also made the exciting announcement that all bikes purchased after January 1, 2023, would be covered by a lifetime warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship for the original owner.

What makes Ibis Bikes special

Ibis has been at the forefront of the reshoring movement that has been on the rise in the United States. Starting in 2014, long before any covid-related shipping and supply issues, Ibis opened their own carbon construction and testing lab in their Santa Cruz headquarters. What they learned from the process meant that they were able to start making bikes in their own factory by 2018. Though not every Ibis frame is made in the USA, the process has helped build a foundation of craftsmen skilled in carbon layup for the most advanced bikes Ibis makes.

That’s not to say that the frames made in Asia are inferior. Ibis has been working with their trusted contractors in Asia for many years. And every frame that comes from those factories has been made with loving care. But the advantage of having in-house carbon manufacturing gives them an advantage when developing a frame or making important changes to updated frames. It means you can layup and cure a frame one morning and be test riding it the next. It’s a great way to ensure every new Ibis is a work of art. When you see an Ibis bike for sale, you know it is the result of great skill and attention to detail, no matter where it was made.
