Professional, amateur or club racer, the VXR Proteam with Racing Fiber Matrix and Vibraser will allow you to push your limits. So what is Vibraser? Vibraser is a fiber, like carbon, Time
builds into their tubes for vibration damping. Time uses Vibraser on the leading and trailing edges of fork blades, the top and bottom of stems and frame
tubes, the front and back of seatposts. Using Vibraser in these areas allows the tubes to flex in one direction but stay stiff in the other. Their goal is to
build a frame, fork, stem and seatpost that is very stiff laterally but compliant along the plane of the bicycle. So the frame stays rigid for out of the
saddle climbing or sprinting, but absorbs vibration coming up from the road to reduce vibration induced fatigue. Vibration damping in the frame also improves
the handling of the bicycle on rough surfaces.
RTM Technology
Time modules are chock full of technological features. Time is the only manufacturer in the industry to utilize Resin Transfer Molding. RTM technology allows
Time the freedom to shape their tubes depending on the tube’s specific function. The resin penetrates the fiber layers for total impregnation which allows
each zone of a part to be designed to deliver specific mechanical characteristics with no restrictions or compromises. This technology also utilizes a
tubular layer of unidirectional braids incorporating Vibraser polyamid fibers into specific braids. Vibraser is a superior vibration damping fiber and the
unidirectional braid offers excellent flex characteristics where it is desired. A bidirectional braid is used in layers for rigidity.
