The 2:1 4X is equipped with Foes' new Curnutt AIR 2:1 suspension, giving the frame a perfect 4" of rear wheel travel. Superb for racing 4X, DS, or your local dirt jumps, the 2:1 4X frame includes heavy duty gussets at the head tube and a one-piece monocoque top tube with built-in contours to arrest torsional twist and yaw. With the 2:1 Curnutt AIR shock and its adjustable rod end, you'll be able to change the head angle by +/- 1 degree and raise or lower the bottom bracket height for an advantage when the courses change during the summer race series. Single Pivot is one of the simplest types of rear suspension. It simply consists of a pivot around the bottom bracket area and a solid chainstay to the rear axle. The rear axle will always rotate in a circle around the pivot point. The main benefit of this design is its simplicity. There are few moving parts, relatively easy to design and has good small bump compliance. In a market full of complex suspension designs, the single pivot offers a refreshingly simplistic and effective design. The rear triangle on single pivot bikes tends to be stiffer while offering exquisite small bump compliance. While other suspension designs claim to be more efficient, they typically lack the small bump compliance that single pivot offers.
