The DeRosa Protos uses a unidirectional carbon fibre layering technique to provide the rider with “ the best ratio of lightness and mechanical resistance”. Weighing in at 990g (w/o fork & headset), the Protos is a definite contender in the battle for the strongest, reliable, featherweight frame. Available only in matte black, the Protos definitely compliments the stealth bombers of the peloton. From its high density carbon fiber bottom bracket shell to it’s beefy chainstays and athletic seat stays, the Protos can withstand the torsional load of the most demanding sprinters and compliment the featherweight needs of the most demanding climbers all in one.
