For 2008 Colnago debuts the World Cup Cross bike. The frame is made of double butted aluminum tubes. The down tube is ovalized at the head tube and bottom bracket and is offset 90 degrees for bottom bracket stiffness. The fork has an aluminum steerer tube and carbon fork blades which shares similar performance benefits and mud clearance to its bigger brother the Star carbon cross fork. The bike is built around Shimano’s new Ultegra SL gruppo finished with FSA carbon Pro stem/bar/seatpost and Mavic Aksium wheels. This could possibly be the best deal in the cyclecross industry right now.
