The C50 is the bike that sets the precedent. Not only are more riders riding a C50 in the pro peloton but it is the bike that all professional riders judge their sponsors ride by. From the proving grounds of the Tour de France, to the World Championships, to the brutal roads of the Paris-Roubaix the Colnago C50 HP shines like a jewel. Displaying true versatility, the C50 is equally at home sprinting for a finish, taming rough roads, and climbing mountain passes.
Colnago has constructed the bike with unidirectional carbon fiber and compression molded composite lugs. Colnago’s exclusive, size specific Master profile tubing has a unique shape placing Colnago at the forefront of carbon fiber innovation. Allowing the frame to simultaneously remain laterally stiff as well as vertically compliant, it is as functional as it is beautiful. The composite B-Stay seat stay and striking HP chain stays do more than just look good, they virtually eliminate road vibration. A keyed titanium bottom bracket sleeve in a carbon lug ensures that all power gets transferred to the rear wheel.
Colnago works with the renowned Italian composites firm ATR to develop the high modulus carbon fiber used in Colnago frames. ATR is also known for providing composite components for the Ferrari Enzo and Porshe Carrera GT auto racing teams. The C50 comes in 21 sizes, the most of any production bike. For 2008 the C50 also comes with the new C75 fork. Don’t hold back, experience the C50 on your own stomping grounds.
Testimonials:
Since I took delivery on my Colnago C50 in late February, I have put 1,500 miles on it. I often ride with a group of people from my neighborhood who are much younger than I am, but rarely have any difficulties keeping up with them. It's an extraordinary bicycle, and I have never been so in love with a piece of machinery. I've never owned a bicycle that understands me as well as this one does, and I have to smile every time I throw my leg over it. It is making my old age a lot more fun than I had ever expected.

I put 40 miles on the maiden ride of the C50 today. It’s a very familiar ride up the hill behind my house. Man, I am so glad that I decided on either Colnago or Time over Serotta (you sort of talked me into it btw). I have had custom Merlins and Sevens for road riding, but geometry wise, the C50 felt different. It fits better. Yes, it’s stiffer, but it also was easier on my back as it dampened out lots of little vibrations yet still let you feel the road. Very strange sensation, but good. Cornering was unbelievable. My seven was quick but a bit twitchy. The C50 cornered faster but more stable… I guess a century of development in European peloton made a difference. The American frames are good, but they aren’t even close to this thing.
Best,
