The C50 Pista is designed to utilize the force put out by the most powerful riders on the track. A 35mm seat tube increases the stiffness of the overall frame and the aero down tube slices through the wind. The strength of the massive down tube also serves to resist explosive bursts of power, keeping the head tube in line with the seat tube and Colnago’s Leaf shaped chain stays. Every lug and tube has been reinforced with extra layers of carbon fiber hat add so much structural strength the C50 Pista satisfies sprinting champions such as Erik Zabel.
Colnago works with the renowned Italian composites firm ATR to develop the high modulus carbon fiber used in Colnago frames. ATR is also known for providing composite components for the Ferrari Enzo and Porshe Carrera GT auto racing teams.
The C50 Pista comes with replaceable stainless steel inserts on the rear dropouts to ensure that this frame will last forever. The frame is also equipped with the Colnago Street Pista fork and is available in 8 sizes.
